Session Overview: "While our training as audiologists ensures we know how to read and write a scientific paper, many practicing audiologists struggle to complete the ever increasing volume of reading needed to stay up-to-date. Dr Wilson will review the basic structure of a scientific paper and provide some useful tips on the art of reading so that audiologists can read scientific papers more efficiently and effectively.
Activity Goals
• To review the commonly used IMRaD structure of scientific papers.
• To review basic strategies for efficiently reading and understanding scientific papers.
• To apply these strategies on a sample scientific paper.
