This comprehensive handbook provides an overview of the Audiology Australia Clinical Internship program.

The Audiology Australia Clinical Internship (the Clinical Internship) program is a 12-month (or EFT equivalent) competency-based program that further develops generic Professional Competencies relevant to all disciplines in Audiology. The aim of the Clinical Internship is to provide practical workplace training and development under supervision. Clinical Interns are assessed against a series of competency statements which are linked to the National Competency Standards. The role of the supervisor/sis to work with the Clinical Intern to document required evidence, strategies and support needed to ensure the Clinical Intern meets all required competency standards. Clinical Interns must meet all the competency statements prior to being awarded permission to use the Audiology Australia Accredited Audiologist Trademark.
